Could the two Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic I & II games find their way onto consoles this year? According to an insider, this is more than likely.
To this day, the two role-playing games Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords are considered two of the best, if not the best, games based on sci-fi -brand.
Above all, with BioWare and Obsidian Entertainment, two development studios were responsible for the games, which have always been among the greats in the role-playing field.
If the most well-informed Star Wars insider Jordan Maison is to be believed, then the two classics could be released again this year. Like Star Wars: Episode 1 Racer and Jedi Knight, the role-playing games are to be released for the consoles of Xbox One, and PS4.
In that case, it would only be upscaled versions of the original versions, so no remaster or remake treatments should be expected. Even if a remake is also rumored to be in development.
Maison wrote on Twitter the following: “Heard some fun game stuff this week. Nothing huge, and no real details (hence a tweet and not a post)…You know how the Jedi Knight games and Episode 1 Racer got Switch/Modern Console re-releases? Hearing #KOTOR 1 and 2 will get the same at some point this year. Note, this would be SEPARATE from the upcoming remake thingy (which would incorporate elements to include it into canon). These would just be straight, upscaled, ports.”

So it will be interesting to see whether the two Knights of the Old Republic games, which caused a stir in 2003 and 2004, will actually be released for the current consoles. This should at least be interesting for everyone who does not know these adventures or wants to experience them again.
