The different versions of Samsung Galaxy S5 and HTC One (M7) have already got the update, and it’s now the time for Sprint. Starting from yesterday, Sprint rolls out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Galaxy S5 and HTC One (M7).

The update’s build number (software version of the device) for the Samsung Galaxy S5 will be G900PVPU1AOA6. The update will have all the Lollipop features as usual, and will also include an enhanced Voice over Wi-Fi user interface, as well as the removal of the Lumen tool bar. The download size for the update is 898.44MB and owners of the Galaxy S5 will need 3GB of free internal storage to install it. Sprint’s message also states that after Lollipop is installed, the phone will have its available storage space reduced by at least 950MB.

Alongside, as mentioned above, the Sprint’s HTC One (M7) also has already started getting the Lollipop update. With this, it seems that the promise made by HTC to its One M7 users (to provide the lollipop update within 90 of receiving the source code from Google) is not fulfilled, as some extra days have already passed after the completion of those 90 days. HTC had recently announced it would not meet its goal of having updates out within 90 days of receiving the Android 5.0 software from Google. HTC’s Mo Versi took the opportunity to personally announce his company’s product update on Twitter, specifying Android 5.0.1 and that more carriers will be coming soon. The file size to download is around 702MB, and comes with Sense 6.0 UI on the top.

If you own either or both of Sprint’s HTC One M7 or Samsung Galaxy S5, you might have already got the notification for the update. If you have not been notified yet, you can check yourself on Settings > About > Software Update to see if an update is available.
