With Windows 8 beta already scheduled to be released at the end of February, Microsoft has a demo of the pre-beta version of the operating system on the floor of CES 2012. The guys at The Verge had a chance to play with Windows 8 build 8175 and get a first look of its latest features.
The latest version of the Microsoft’s upcoming operating system includes more keyboard and mouse improvements, new touch gesture to close Metro style apps from view, and the new Metro style app players.
In the video you’ll also see a demonstration of the color picker for the Start Screen, a feature that isn’t present in the Developer Preview, and a translucent Charms Bar. Hopefully now when Windows 8 beta is released users will have the ability to customize their Start Screen colors without the need of current alternatives.
Windows 8 build 8175 includes many changes in comparison with the current Developer Preview and we expect to see more changes and improvements coming to the OS before it’s released, that as promised by the software maker it will be in February together with the new Windows Store.
