It appears that Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) in Malaysia is working on a popular brand that will make a comeback on the PlayStation 5. This is at least clear from a current job advertisement from the studio.
In the coming month, Microsoft and Sony Interactive Entertainment will bring in the new generation of consoles with the Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5. As announced a few weeks ago, Demon’s Souls, a popular brand that caused a sensation on the PlayStation 3 at the time, will celebrate a comeback on the PlayStation 5 with a remake.
According to current reports, it won’t stay with Demon’s Souls Remake. Instead, another PlayStation community favorite is set to return to the PS5. The decisive clue was provided by a recently published job advertisement from Sony Interactive Entertainment Malaysia, with which the studio is looking for a senior animator.
“Our Animation team is currently working on one of PlayStation’s well-known and well-loved franchises. We are looking for talented, highly-motivated, and creative animators to breathe life into the next chapter of cinematic storytelling,” says the job advertisement.
We can currently only speculate about which brand the job advertisement refers to in detail. It is also unclear whether the SIE Malaysia office will act as the main developer or just play a supporting role.
