Year 2014 is about to end, and this year’s Samsung’s flagship- Galaxy S5 is soon going to have its successor very soon. According to the Samsung Galaxy S6 rumors circulating around, this phone is all set to be launched at CES 2015, which is going to be held in Q1 next year (January 6-9). That’s pretty early, considering the launch dates of the previous Galaxy S series flagships by Samsung.

With the leak of the possible release date, almost every stuffs of the Samsung Galaxy S6 has been leaked by now. This handset is having an improvement in the build quality- it will be a solidly built full metal handset as the plastic body was the most disliked factor of the Galaxy S5. Samsung is now going for aluminum build, a super-advanced material graphene design for its new flagship. Samsung is also improving its IP certification- which will be IP68 in Galaxy S6, increased from IP67 in the Galaxy S5. This handset will have a 2K (2560 X 1440 pixels) display, with a slightly larger display, which will be somewhere between 5.2-5.5 inches. The processor will also be Snapdragon 810 (or 805 at least), or Exynos Octa for Asian versions, which is great. Other specs include 3 GB RAM, 32 GB internal memory with expandable storage and 20 Megapixels rear camera which will be capable of 4K video recording. There is no doubt that this handset will have Android 5.0 Lollipop as OS, with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI surfaced over it.

The Galaxy S5 is not much old, which is only around 8 months old now, and it is going to be outdated soon enough. It is the fact that the S5 didn’t sell well, and the S6 will have some strategies to recover it. We already saw the half metal design in the Galaxy Note 4, and now we can’t wait more to see the Galaxy S6.
