As you can see, the Resident Evil 8: Village PS5 Showcase Trailer gives a hint about the story and the overall setting of the game. There’s an eerie old witch and there are werewolves – the perfect recipe for nightmares. Then the narrator (who is Mia, Ethan Winters’ wife) tells the story about an innocent little girl who ventures into the deep dark forest and vanishes while her mother cries in panic. Terrifying. The viewer is left with an unsettling foreboding feeling.
The atmosphere really sets the tone and the music complements it perfectly. Plus, we also get a glimpse of the monsters, a horrific cult performing a ritual and a huge castle.
