The survival horror game Resident Evil Village may be delivered with a multiplayer mode. Today the next clue surfaced. The secret could be revealed tomorrow on January 21, 2021.
Rumors have been circulating on the Internet for weeks that Resident Evil Village will have a multiplayer mode. And the probability just keeps getting bigger.
First of all, Capcom announced last week that a previously unknown multiplayer project in the Resident Evil universe would be subjected to a closed beta test. The start is scheduled for January 27, 2021.
The beta announcement revealed that it is an action-packed multiplayer project that is designed for 4 to 6 players. You can find more information about the closed beta on the website of the Resident Evil series.
After it was initially unclear whether there was a connection between the beta and Resident Evil Village, a notice appeared on the Steam Database page of the horror game a few hours ago that the title would be provided with a multiplayer component. The entry was quickly expanded to include a multiplayer tag – whatever that may mean.
Last December it was rumored that Resident Evil Village will receive an online component with Village Online and that this is related to the previously unannounced Resident Evil: Revelations 3.
The secret could be revealed shortly. A Resident Evil Showcase will start on January 21, 2021, during which a gameplay premiere for the title will take place. But it also means that viewers can expect a lot more news about the Resident Evil brand.
One thing is certain: Resident Evil Village will be released in 2021 for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5.
