Splashtop 2 is a remote desktop app for Android that allows you to access your Windows, Mac or Linux desktops anywhere over 3G/4G or Wi-Fi. After setting up the app, you will be able to view the entire screen of your computer on your Android tablet or phone. Splashtop uses simple gestures to run desktop programs like MS Office, Photoshop, playback HD audio and videos and also supports onscreen joystick to play desktop games.

Here are the steps to setup Splashtop 2 Remote Desktop for Android:

  • Create Splashtop account
  • Download Splashtop streamer for your desktop or mac and log in.
  • Download Splashtop 2 app on your Android via Google play and then log in.
  • Open the app and then connect to your computer. Refresh the list if you don’t see your computer.
  • That’s all. You now have access to your desktop

Basic functionality for individual users is free. However, if you are planning on using this app commercially and want more features such as anywhere access, configurable shortcuts and whiteboard, you will need to pay for monthly or annual subscriptions for each feature. Splashtop currently supports the following platforms: Windows 8, 7, Vista and XP. MAC OS X 10.6+ and Linux (Ubuntu 12.04.)  Also, you can run all flash and java applications, games via the Splashtop 2 app. To run smoothly, it is recommended you at least have a dual core CPU.
