Today Google is experimenting with a new and redesigned Google FeedBurner; as you may have noticed this morning, after logging in, a new link “Try out the NEW (beta) version!” showed up in the top-right side of your account. Now the new interface provides real-time stats for clicks, views, podcast downloads, and of course a new look and feel UI (User Interface), similar to Google Analytics. In addition, if you are using FeedBurner Socialize service, you are going to be able to see the traffic that is being generated from Twitter, and from feed readers platforms, such as Google Reader. This makes it better to see what type of content is being drawn as it happens.

The mechanism that FeedBurner uses to calculate your subscribers and reach counts are still the same, but the item stats reflects the traffic that is occurring right now.

If you are curious, you can visit the new Google FeedBurner at http://feedburner.google.com/gfb/ or logging into your account and clicking the new link Try out the NEW (beta) version! And to go back click the Old interface link.

“The best way to see these real time features is to publish a new post and then switch to the “Last two hours” view to begin seeing updates.”

As a personal note, I would really like to see real-time stats in Google Analytics, what do you think? What else would you like to see from Google Web tools? Leave your comments in the section below. Thanks!
