Razer has revealed refreshes of its Blade 17 and Blade Base 15 laptops.
The two new models officially were unveiled on Wednesday, with Razer highlighting the inclusion of new 11th Gen Intel processors and Nvidia’s 30-series laptop GPUs as a major part of the refresh. Both the Blade 17 and the Blade Base 15 will feature THX Spatial Audio built into the laptop, itself. Razer says this should allow for more dynamic sound in games and movies.
The Blade 17 will ship with an Intel I9-11900H processor, offering eight cores and 16 threads. Razer says the updated CPU will clock in at a max turbo of 4.90GHz, giving it a new level of performance compared to previous Blade 17 laptops. The computer manufacturer has paired the i9-11900H with up to an Nvidia RTX 3080 and a 4K 17-inch touchscreen display. The Blade 17 also will include an anti-fingerprint resistive coating around its body to help reduce smudges on the exterior design.
Razer says the Blade 15 Base will be powered by an Intel i7-11800H processor and up to an Nvidia RTX 3070 graphics card. It also will feature two PCIe 4.0 SSD slots for expandable storage, as well as faster memory and processor speeds. The company also has an advanced model that features up to an RTX 3080 GPU and a more powerful processor. When it comes to screen size, the Blade 15 features a 144Hz 1080P display or a QHD 165HZ display for users to choose between.
The Razer Blade 17 will start at $2,399.99 and is available for preorder starting Wednesday. The Blade Base 15 will start at $1,799.99, and, like the Blade 17, will be available to preorder on Wednesday through the Razer website and select RazerStore retail locations.
