Are you one of the smartphone users who love to have an awesome camera in your device? Or you may be one of those who just love clicking photos, and want to have a really good camera. Carrying a camera is always good for those who love to click photos, but it is not always a good option, since it is not portable at all times. Several companies have therefore, producing the camera phones (smartphones which have good specs, and have an awesome camera as well which is under their main features). Panasonic too has added a camera phone under this category. A long time camera, smartphones and other several consumer electronics items manufacturer, the Japanese electronics giant has recently announced Panasonic Lumix Smart Camera CM1, a phone which will have a 20 MP 1” sensor size Leica optics camera.
While discussing about the specifications of the device, it it features a 4.7-inch Full HD (1,080 x 1,920 pixels) capacitive display, which has a pixel density of 469 ppi. The handset sports a sleek profile with dimensions 135.4 x 68 x 21.1 mm and weighs 204 grams, which is quite heavy but quite fine for a camera phone. The phone will have 16 GB internal memory, with an option of expandable storage upto 128 GB via microSD card. It has 2 GB RAM, and for the processing power, there will be a Qualcomm MSM8974AB Snapdragon 801 chipset complied with a Quad-core 2.3 GHz Krait 400 CPU, and an Adreno 330 GPU for gaming and graphics. For the photography and videography options, this smartphone will have a 20 MP primary camera (as already mentioned above) with geo-tagging, Leica optics, LED Flash, touch autofocus, which can capture videos upto 2160p @ 15fps (and [email protected]), and a 1.1 MP secondary camera for video calls and selfies. The juice will be provided by a Li-Ion 2,600 mAh battery, and we are yet to see how it works in this powerful camera phone. For the connectivity options, there will be LTE support, microUSB v2.0, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi and NFC. It will run on Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system, and we can expect it to get the Android L in future. The phone will be available only available in Black color in the markets.
The phone is also known as Panasonic DMC-CM1. There is no any official information on its marker availability, but there is a possibility for its launch in November. Though it may be a good camera phone and click very good photos, its capability of clicking 2160p videos at the frame rate of 15 fps is quite disappointing, since most of the flagships today are able to click this video at the frame rate of 30 fps. It’s fine though, it is a camera phone and has awesome specs too, and we will see how it performs in the hands, when it gets launched in November. We will update with the information available further. You can share your views on this new camera phone by Panasonic (Panasonic Lumix Smart Camera CM1) in the comment section below.
