Overwatch 2 features a wide range of unique and recurring characters from the previous installment. These recurring characters have received major changes to balance them out in the sequel. One of these characters includes Ashe that is a Damage hero and a gang leader sporting a Western theme. While she is an Ace when it comes to gun-slinging, you need a great strategy to maximize her overall damage. So, check out our guide for tips and strategies on how to play Ashe in Overwatch 2.
How to Play Ashe in Overwatch 2 (Strategies & Tips)
Before delving into her playstyle and abilities, you need to unlock her first. You can unlock Ashe by completing 50 matches. As each of the wins counts as 2 after you unlock Ana, you can speed up this process.
So, here are all the important tips and strategies to play Ashe in OW 2:
- As mentioned before, Ashe is a damage hero that has several abilities and weapons up her sleeves. She can dominate mid-ranged combat with her primary weapon known as Viper.
- Speaking about her playstyle, Ashe can fire her semi-automatic rifle from her hip or Aim-down sight.
- Her primary weapon is best suited for finishing off her enemies. But on the contrary, Ashe can be vulnerable in close-range combat.
- Some of the heroes that can be dangerous in close-ranged battles are Genji, Widowmaker, Moira, Reaper, and Reinhardt.
- To avoid such close encounters, you can use her Coach Gun ability. As she uses this ability, she can cause knockback damage to her enemies while she propels away from them.
- Coach Gun can help Ashe evade her enemies. You need to be closer to the enemy as you use this ability.
- Also, make a note while using this ability against heroes like Genji as they can propel you twice than normal. This can also potentially throw you off the map.
- Her Dynamite ability can be a great ability to knock away her enemies. As the name suggests, you can throw a bundle of dynamites at your enemies.
- This dynamite explodes within 2 seconds as they land or instantly by shooting them.
- If Ashe gets in the line of fire, she can deal with half of the damage. You can spam this ability to charge your Ultimate ability.

- Lastly, Ashe’s ult ability summons her sidekick butler B.O.B to help her out during the match.
- With his powers, you can throw an enemy in the air making it easy for Ashe to take a shot. During such cases, it can be a guaranteed kill unless they are Tank heroes.
- B.O.B’s attacks can be combined with the buffs of several Support heroes. We suggest saving up and using this ult quite situationally.
