Newly discovered source code suggests that Microsoft is working to combine OneDrive and Xbox Music to offer a music locker in the cloud. The news comes from LiveSino website that points out to a OneDrive Music folder in the source code files from the cloud-storage site at Microsoft. The files detail the new OneDrive Music folder as another option, where customers will be able to upload music files to the Microsoft’s cloud-storage service, OneDrive, files that later can be streamed using Xbox Music to all devices supported by the service.

“Meet your OneDrive Music folder. Upload your music files to this folder, so that you can play them via Xbox Music from any of your devices. You can also add files to this folder using the OneDrive app for your computer.”

Microsoft has been tweaking and regularly improving its Xbox Music cloud service, recently the company added offline support to its iOS and Android apps, released a web version of the service, and added new features to the Windows app. As for this OneDrive Music feature, still unknown when it will arrive, but it’s likely to happen.
