At Ignite, Microsoft makes available for download Office 2016 for customers and enterprises. While in March, the software giant introduced the suite of Office applications for IT Pros and Developers, the company now is ready to expand Office 2016 to more people.
The new Preview will give users an early look of what’s to come to the next release of Office for Windows desktop.
According to Microsoft, the new suite of applications are being updated to the “modern workplace”.
Office 2016 includes:
New modern attachment in Outlook to attach files from OneDrive and automatically configure permission for the recipient.
Real-time co-authoring now is coming to the desktop applications of Office 2016, “starting with Word”.
Applications learn as you work. Tell Me, is a new search tool available in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel to deliver quick answer to typical questions. There is a new Exchange feature that uses machine learning to de-clutter your inbox. And Insights, powered by Bing, finds your contextual data for the web within the reading experience.
There is also a new analysis capabilities built into Excel, for you to pull, map, analyze and visualize a lot easier.
