Once the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset begins to ship in 2016, you’ll notice a very familiar controller, that’s because the company behind the headset has just announced that it’s partnering with Microsoft to ship the Oculus Rift with an Xbox One wireless controller, which will also come bundled with the wireless adapter.
During the Oculus press event in San Francisco, Microsoft’s Phil Spencer, head of the Xbox team, reveal the news. In addition the company also announced that Oculus Rift will work natively on Windows 10 and will allow Xbox One games to stream to the virtual reality headset as part of a new virtual cinema experience created by Oculus.

Keep in mind that even though the Oculus Rift will come bundled with the Xbox One controller, the wireless adapter will require Windows 10 to make it all work.
It’s unusual seeing that Microsoft will support Oculus Rift as the company is already working on its own virtual reality headset, HoloLens, but it does shows that the software giant wants to support as much devices and accessories as possible, even for the gaming platform.
