If you have a Nintendo Switch, chances are you may get one of the error codes mentioned below. To save your time, we’ve listed out all the errors and how to fix them if and when you come across them.

How to Fix Nintendo Switch Error Codes (List)

2123-1502

  • Try the download once again by tapping on Continue.
  • Check if your internet connection is stable.
  • Restart your Switch by pressing and holding the Power button > Power Options > Turn off.

2002-6455

  • Restart your Switch console by holding the Power button > Power Options > Restart.

2005-0003

This issue is related to the microSD card that you are using. Try these things with it to resolve the problem:

  • Using a new or different microSD card
  • Format your existing microSD card if possible
  • Remove the microSD card and download content into the memory itself

2153-0321

Contact Nintendo Customer Service to fix this issue.

2810-1224

This issue comes up when you are not able to connect with the Nintendo eShop or sign into your Nintendo Account.

  • Restart your Switch
  • Connect to the wireless network
  • Wait for 10 seconds and sign into your account again or access the eShop.

2168-0002

  • Turn off your Switch and switch it on again.
  • Install the latest system update.

2164-0020

  • Select the software that’s causing issues.
  • Press + or – for Software options.
  • Head to Manage Software > Delete Software.
  • Select Delete.
  • Remove your game card and put it back in.
  • Start the software and download updates for it.

2162-0002

2813-6838

  • If you are not able to redeem a Nintendo eShop Card, you need to check if the number on the card is accurate.

2801-7199

  • If you are not able to upload a photo to Facebook, you need to unlink your FB account from your Nintendo account and relink it and upload the photo again.
  • Also check if your Facebook settings allow Nintendo Switch to post on your FB wall.

2110-2004, 2110-2200, 2110-2201, 2110-2214

  • First check your internet connection.
  • Verify if you’ve used the right password for your wireless connection in the console’s settings.
  • Restart your router.
  • Keep your console in the range of the router.
  • Keep metal items and other electronic devices away from your console and router so that they don’t interfere.
  • Make a new wireless Internet connection file.

2110-3127

This error code comes up due to a DNS issue.

  • Restart your Switch.
  • Check the DNS settings under Internet Settings on the Nintendo Switch.
  • Change settings to Automatic if it’s currently set to manual but not required for the network.
  • Try after some time.
  • Restart your router.
  • Enter an alternate DNS.
  • Keep metal items and other electronic devices away from your console and router so that they don’t interfere.

2110-3400

This error will come up when the internet connection you want to use has an authentication wall. Could be a Terms of Service agreement or username/password. Most likely to happen in airports, cafes etc.

  • Fix: Before connecting with the network that needs authentication, connect to one that doesn’t have it. Then update your Switch to system menu version 2.0.0 (minimum requirement). after this is done, you will be able to go through the necessary steps to connect to the network with authentication.

2124-8006, 2137-8006

This error code is for when you are not able to link your Switch to your Nintendo account.

  • Check your internet connection.
  • Check for wireless interference.
  • Enter an alternate DNS manually.
  • Keep your console in the range of the router.
  • Restart your router.
  • Keep metal items and other electronic devices away from your console and router so that they don’t interfere.
  • In case your router supports it, connect to a different wireless band.

2160-0103

If you are not able to join an online match:

  • Restart your console.
  • Enter an alternate DNS manually.
  • Restart your router.
