VIZIO several months ago jumped into the PC market and today at CES 2013 the company is already announcing that they are entering to the Windows 8 tablet ecosystem with its first slate: the MT11X-A1. This tablet houses a dual-core 1Ghz AMD Z-60 processor with Radeon HD graphics, and it also features 2GB of RAM, 64GB solid state drive, micro-HDMI and mMicroUSB ports, and a 2-megapixel camera. But what’s probably most noticeable is its unusual gorgeous 11.6-inch display with a full 1080p resolution (1920 x 1080).

The new VIZIO tablet runs a full version of Windows 8, which means that is backward compatible with all your Windows 7 desktop programs. The company is also is pre-loading a clean version of the OS without any bloatware (this is what Microsoft calls a Windows Signature installation).

Weight is in the heavy side with 1.8 pounds and it matches the minimalist industrial design that the company is known for using in its PC lineup with aluminum edge and a soft touch back.

Availability and pricing are yet to be announced, but it will be in stores sometime in spring 2013.
