Motorola is adding five new smartphones to its G series of mid-range devices starting at $227, and most allow a 5G connection.
According to the announcement, the new devices are the Moto G31, G41, G51 5G, G71 5G, and the G200 5G. All of these smartphones will be making landfall in Europe first before moving on to other regions like Latin America, Asia, and the Middle East.
Each of these phones has unique features, but there are also several similarities. For example, all devices run on the same 5000 mAh battery, have Android 11 as their operating system, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro lens.
The Moto G31 ($227) and G41 ($284) are the lineup’s 4G devices with a 6.4 inch OLED display and the same MediaTek Helio G86 processor. The G41 has a better camera thanks to its 48MP primary sensor that can take photos at any time of day and TurboPower 30, giving you a 50 percent charge in 30 minutes.
The G51 5G ($261), as the name suggests, connects to the 5G network to enable high-quality video calls with zero latency. It has a 120Hz refresh rate, a 50MP triple camera system, and a Snapdragon 480 Plus chipset for quick processing.
The G71 5G ($314) takes it further with TurboPower 30, cameras with Quad Pixel Technology, and a Snapdragon 695 5G chip for lightning-fast processing.
And finally, the G200 5G ($511) has a 108MP camera for ultra-high resolution photos and supports 8K resolution video. It’s powered by the Snapdragon 888 Plus chipset that enables a 144 Hz refresh rate which is ideal for high-action video games.
