Monster Hunter: World Iceborne will be the conclusion of the Monster Hunter World as this will be the first and final expansion for the game, Capcom confirmed the news in an interview with Game Informer.
Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto said, “Iceborne basically completes World, so it will be the last expansion,”. It will be sad to see such a monumental game come to an end so early in this day and age where games tend to have much more longevity.
Though the story will come to an end, this does not, however, means an end to the game, as there will be plenty of updates the developers are looking forward to releasing in the future.
You can check out the entire interview right here where the developers sit down with the people of Game Informer and talk about the game.
The new expansion will be split in the middle with half of it based on the old continent and the other half on this new place. There will be new abilities in the game which includes a quick resurrection skill and the new Master rank.
PS4 players can check out the beta of the new expansion but PC players will have to wait a bit more. There isn’t a specific date announced as of yet for the PC launch.
Monster Hunter: World Iceborne will be released for PS4 owners on the 6th of September.
