With several new gameplay elements added into the MLB the Show 22, there are several tutorials in-game to help players out. But there are some gameplay mechanics like sliding or jumping that don’t have any instructions or practice sessions for players. Sliding is one of the most important elements of baseball. You might have seen baseball players sliding their way through bases but how do you slide in MLB? Here’s our guide on how to slide in MLB the Show 22.
How to Slide in MLB the Show 22
You need to move your right analog stick around for all the consoles to slide. There are different varieties of slides and each of these slides is controlled by the right analog stick. But these controls work differently when sliding at the home plates and bases. Mentioned below are all the controls for sliding at-home plates:
- Straight in feet-first: Move your right stick downwards.
- Wide right feet-first: right stick downwards left.
- Wide right headfirst: right stick upwards-right.
- Straight in headfirst: right stick upwards.
- Wide left feet-first: right stick downwards-left.
- Wide left headfirst: right stick upwards left.
These are the following controls for sliding at different bases:
- Straight in feet-first: right stick downwards.
- Straight in headfirst: right stick upwards.
- Hook to the left: move your right stick to the left.
- Hook to the right: move your right stick to the right.
- Break up a double play at 2nd: right stick downwards.
As the controls for sliding at the home plates and bases are quite similar, make sure to move your joystick accordingly.
